Byrkley Garden Centre raises £365 for the Greenfingers Appeal

For the fifth year running, Byrkley Garden Centre has hosted a successful quiz evening in aid of the Greenfingers Appeal.  As in previous years, all the Byrkley Staff who helped out on the night gave their services voluntarily, and we raised a total of £365.98 for the appeal – an increase of some 78% on last year’s event.  The quiz, which took place in Byrkley’s Garden Room Restaurant, was very well supported with 13 teams of 4 people taking part.  First prize (a selection of plants and garden tools) was won by Cutting Edge, with The Crocks in 2nd place (winning plants and compost) and Bromley Brians in 3rd place (winning plants and liquid plant food).  There were some great raffle prizes on offer and a buffet supper was served during the interval.  It was a very enjoyable evening for all concerned and Byrkley Garden Centre would like to thank everyone who supported the event (including the suppliers and concessions who donated some of the prizes) for helping to make it such a fantastic success.
