Children's Christmas Competition

Our Christmas competition this year, which is open to children up to 11 years of age, is to decorate a “bauble” using the template provided.  The children can use any materials they wish to create their decoration (paints, pens, fabric, glitter, tinsel, buttons, sweet wrappers ….. the list - and their imagination if last year’s competition is anything to go by – is endless!).  However, as our theme this year is “Santa’s Grotto on Rainbow Mountain”, the more colourful, the better!
 
The finished article should be mounted on card and cut out, with the label detailing the child’s name, age and school attached to the reverse side please.

There will be 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in each of  two age categories (Under 7 and 7 – 11).
 
First prize for both age categories is ‘A Christmas Experience’ to take place on Sunday 25th November 2007 when Santa arrives at Byrkley Garden Centre in his sleigh pulled by real reindeer. The ‘Christmas Experience’ consists of a photograph of each winning child in the Grotto, a visit with and a present from Santa, and then on to The Garden Room with their family for a special celebratory meal.
 
Second and third prizes will be Byrkley Garden Centre Vouchers.

The closing date for entries is Friday 16th November, and the winners will be announced here at Byrkley Garden Centre by Ed James of Heart FM on Santa’s arrival day, Sunday 25th November.
